Cedar Fence Installation in Austin

Cedar Grades
- → #1 Grade (Clear). Few knots, consistent color, minimal imperfections. The premium look. Costs 30–40% more than #2. Worth it for front-facing fences and high-visibility installations.
- → #2 Grade (Standard). Some knots, slight color variation. The most common grade we install. Looks great after staining. Best value for most residential fences.
- → #3 Grade (Economy). More knots, rougher texture. Fine for side yards and rear property lines where appearance matters less. Saves 15–20% vs. #2.
Staining Cedar
Cedar can be left unstained — it naturally weathers to a silver-gray over 1–2 years. Some homeowners like the weathered look. Others want to preserve the warm reddish-brown color. A semi-transparent stain applied at installation locks in the natural color and adds UV/moisture protection. Re-stain every 3–5 years to maintain the look. We offer staining services bundled with installation or as a standalone service.
