When Chain Link Makes Sense
- → Rental properties. Landlords need a fence that contains pets, marks property lines and doesn't need maintenance. Chain link checks every box at the lowest cost.
- → Dog runs and kennels. Dogs can't chew through chain link. Add a top rail with tension wire to prevent climbing. The most durable pet containment option.
- → Commercial and industrial. Parking lots, storage yards, equipment enclosures. Security without the cost of iron. Add barbed wire or razor wire for high-security applications (commercial zones only — not residential).
- → Temporary construction fencing. Short-term perimeter security for construction sites. We install and remove when the project finishes.
Privacy Slats
Chain link by itself offers zero privacy. Privacy slats weave through the mesh and block 85–95% of visibility. Available in green, black, brown, white and tan. Slats add $5–8/ft to the installed cost but turn a see-through fence into a screening fence. It's a fraction of the cost of a wood privacy fence and lasts longer.
