Automatic Gate Options
- → Swing gate openers. Arm-style or underground operators. Work with existing swing gates. Remote control, keypad, intercom or smartphone app. Best for driveways with clearance for the gate to swing open.
- → Slide gate openers. Chain-driven or direct-drive. The gate slides along a track parallel to the fence line. Best for sloped driveways or limited clearance. Commercial-grade operators available for heavy gates.
- → Solar-powered openers. No electrical wiring needed. Solar panel charges a battery that powers the motor. Works well in Austin's sunny climate. Adds $300–800 to the opener cost but eliminates trenching for electrical.
Access Control
Gates are only as useful as their access system. We install keypads ($200–500), card readers ($400–800), intercom systems with video ($500–1,500) and smartphone-controlled locks ($300–700). For residential driveways, a simple remote + keypad combo works for most families. For commercial properties, card readers or app-based access with logging is standard.
